Neat midcentury lowboy – Danish rosewood drawers by Hjernbo System.

Attractive and compact storage – 4-drawer lowboy by Hjernbo System Denmark, dating from the mid 1960s.

The unit is finished in rosewood, with strong contrasting grain patterning.  No longer available, this rainforest timber was used in premium furnishings by Danish and Brazilian makers, and prized for the black and red tones is offers.  Matching recessed pulls to all drawers.

Stands on tapered timber legs, finished in black to compliment the timber.

Very good overall condition.  Some light evidence of use, but no major flaws notable.  As pictured, there are 2 small (and neatly drilled) holes to each side of the unit – originally sold as an element of an optional modular storage set – not especially noticable.  Drawers run smoothly, unit is stable and presents nicely.

Looking good, ready to use and enjoy.
