Manufactured by premier Danish maker Fritz Hansen, this set of 8 chairs have a sophisticated and strong rustic simplicity.
Very pale blonde oak frames, with natural woven paper seats. Stable and comfortable, with high backs, they make excellent dining chairs. All bear maker’s ink-stamped brand to undersides of frame.
Originally produced in 1936 for Bethlehem Church, Copenhagen, these ‘church chairs’ were designed by Kaare Klint, the man referred to as the father of Danish Modern design.
All chairs are in very good vintage order – no notable flaws. General mild patina, presenting well and ready to use and enjoy.
