The scale and height of the table is quite grand – know in Sweden as a ‘sofa table’, it is tall enough to be used as a loungeroom dining alternative, where your knees fit underneath whilst sitting on your sofa or armchair. The size of the piece works well with 4 lounge chairs around it.
Definite statement piece, dark and masculine with an airy look.
Good vintage condition, with evidence of use. There are some shallow scuffs to the finish on the top of the table – none have penetrated to the timber, but they are visible and would be diminished by polishing … Strong and stable – no structural issues – great order for a 40+ year-old piece. Presenting well overall.
