With a body made from a cleverly curved piece of ply, this is the ‘baby’ of Grant Featherston’s contour range – his armless dining chair.\u00a0 It shares the trademark maple timber X base with all of his early 50s classics – a good looking chair with a nice ‘live’ back giving plenty of comfort.<\/p>\n
This example has been fully restored – stripped and re-wadded over original ply shell – with new fine red leather upholstery.\u00a0 Base has been sanded back to bare timber, ready for shellac or danish oil finish.<\/p>\n
